USING THE NEEDLE SECURE™ SYSTEM SAFELY

Thank you for choosing the Needle Secure™ System. With your purchase comes the responsibility to use the system properly and SAFELY!

This page concerns your safety and the safety of those around you. Please read it very carefully. The Needle Secure™ System is designed and manufactured to meet or exceed industry and government standards; however, their proper use depends upon YOU! Please print this page in its entirety for convenient reference anytime before each use of the Needle Secure™ System and please share this information with others that may come in contact with the Needle Secure™ System.

HOW TO USE THE NEEDLE SECURE™ SYSTEM

-DO always visually inspect the NSS device and NSS tray prior to use. Inspect for any damage, cracks, residue, odor or other signs that the NSS device or NSS tray may be compromised and unsafe for proper use
-DO place NSS tray loaded with NSS devices on dry, level, HORIZONTAL surface
-DO use ONLY the hand that has operated the syringe; insert the needle and syringe VERTICALLY through the center of the foil membrane on top of the NSS unit and continue inserting with minimum force until the syringe base seats into the red NSS unit alignment cup bottom
-DO remove plastic packaging from each new yellow rack before using the NSS
-DO wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including, but not limited to, proper hand protection, eye protection and protective clothing

HOW NOT TO USE THE NEEDLE SECURE™ SYSTEM

-DO NOT hold the NSS device during use or while attempting to insert a syringe into the NSS device
-DO NOT hold the NSS tray during use or while attempting to insert a syringe into the NSS device
-DO NOT forcibly stab or drive the syringe into the NSS device
-DO NOT attempt to insert a needle longer than 1-1/2 inches into the NSS device
-DO NOT attempt to use the NSS device with a syringe body size larger than 20cc/mL
-DO NOT attempt to remove the syringe from the NSS device
-DO NOT dispose of used NSS device with encapsulated syringe/needle in any other manner than a red bio-hazard bag
-DO NOT attempt to use the NSS device unless NSS device is in the upright position in an official NSS rack
